Stop Back Pain Q&A

How often do I have to wear the coil?

Lakhovsky believed the coil helped protect the person or animal by filtering the background radiation. Through experimentation it has been proven that this radiation is most prevalent at night and therefore it is best that the coil be worn at night, but that the more it is worn the more benefit has been received. Many claim that they wear it all the time, especially now with all the cell towers and Wi-Fi signals bouncing about all over the place.

How long do I have to wear the coil?

I have worn mine for about 20 years but one woman who started wearing it for a slipped disk in her back stopped wearing it, except when she injured her back, after 6 months because she felt it made her feel tired. Everybody is different and each person learned what was best for them.

How often do I have to clean the coil?

When it gets tarnished. My father had a stiff neck and the coil would loosen it up except when it started getting tarnished he would start stiffening up again (he was 73 so pretty much had to wear it all the time). When I lived in New Hampshire I only had to clean it once a week but in California and South Dakota I generally clean it every day or every other day

How often do I have to make a new one?

After a while the copper seems to lose it’s integrity and should be replaced. This could happen after a few months to a year.  You will know if it has stopped working even if you are keeping it clean of tarnish.

Can I wear it outside my clothes or do I need to wear it against my skin?

My father felt that it worked best against his skin but I have worn it both ways.

Can I wear more than one coil?

Lakhovsky had a coil around the horse’s neck and each leg.  My best suggestion is that in the beginning you follow my instructions because it has been proven to work.  After that you can experiment to see if you like something better that works for you.

Why do you have the rubber piece on the end?

The rubber acts as an insulator to prevent the two ends of the coil from touching. By doing so the coil works as a resonant circuit. The precise wavelength doesn’t seem to matter.

Can I use a different size copper wire?

I have found that a #10 works best for me and when I have made them up for others I use the #10. The #8 seems to be too heavy and uncomfortable. The #12 or #14 I haven’t tried or know of anyone who have tried them but these seem to work good on small animals. If you want to know if this will work on you I would suggest you try and get the #10 first.  Once you see how the #10 works on you then you can try out other sizes and will be able to compare the two.
